I don't mind if people know I'm in the bathroom but I hate that they can hear me. I also have the problem of going once them having to go again a few minutes later. It is so embarassing and I imagine that people talk about me whem I'm gone. Even though I know they really couldn't care less. I've had the prblem since I was seven and have had it ever since.stickybluemarshmellowshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17500049079771919420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394843330120293409.post-18404103946612789032011-12-29T18:29:58.967-08:002011-12-29T18:29:58.967-08:00I can't use any bathroom that isn't mine a...I can't use any bathroom that isn't mine at my home :(philldafunkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01288550698932243959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394843330120293409.post-13683571807491626812010-05-13T13:09:34.792-07:002010-05-13T13:09:34.792-07:00Many people - an estimated 7% of the US population...Many people - an estimated 7% of the US population - suffer from shy bladder syndrome (medically known as paruresis), to one degree or other.

Help and support can be found from the International Paruresis Association, a nonprofit organization, at www.paruresis.org.

Carol Olmert
Author, "Bathrooms Make Me Nervous"
www.bathroomsmakemenervous.comcolmerthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02309574785017666615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394843330120293409.post-45544197151118955512009-11-17T17:41:45.058-08:002009-11-17T17:41:45.058-08:00This may be all fun and games to many people, but...This may be all fun and games to many people, but I have always had issues with using work or any public restrooms. I WOULD NOT sit on a seat where someone else put their butt. I would hassle with TP covering the seat when an extreme emergency arrose. I would be relieved when the stall would have toilet seat liners, however if they did the dispenser was usually empty. My wife also has similar concerns and recently found a product that we found extremely usefull. FannyGuard.com sells personally packed toilet seat liners that can fit in your pocket or purse. I am truely relieved. Check it out! We don't "Go " any where with out them! I feel more comfortable putting a layer of protection between me and the previous user of the dredded nasty seat! The Dutch are continuing with their clever innovation in the field of public restrooms. The latest addition is the, for people suffering from lutropublicaphobia very unsuitable, urinal lift or Urilift! P.S. Next time I'm around I will be offering a free Dutch lesson ;)Vincenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09035327266635378201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394843330120293409.post-37615508818021579072009-08-14T08:24:50.781-07:002009-08-14T08:24:50.781-07:00Public bathrooms in Scotland are rare because the ...Public bathrooms in Scotland are rare because the Scots generally tend to relieve themselves right where they stand. So what if they happen to be on a bus or in an elevator? No door, just a walk around into the bathroom. Auto flushing toilets, auto soap dispenser and auto paper towel dispenser. Now if only they could design a floor that you didn't have to walk on.Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03317926433431386176noreply@blogger.com
